A chemical industry client was seeking the design and fabrication of a large vertical heat exchanger, to be used in a chemical processing plant. The finished product had to be ASME code stamped and compliant for pressure bearing components, and be completed and delivered to site in California in eight weeks. Our team of designers and craftsmen worked very closely with this customer to ensure we provided them with the exact product they were looking for.

Our design met all ASME requirements, and was fabricated in our state-of-the-art facility. The process included plasma cutting, shearing, plate rolling, oxy-acetylene cutting, drilling, and reaming. The product was pickled and passivated, then packaged with carbon steel blind flanges installed.

Made of T-304L stainless steel measuring .375" thick, the finished product was 18'-0" long, had a diameter of Ø48", all with tolerances of ±1/16".

Following fabrication, we put the vertical heat exchanger through hydro testing and other inspections, ensuring flawless design and manufacturing. We then shipped the product to our client in California. They were thrilled with the results.
